CMG delivers LIEBHERR's largest mining dozers
The agreement was preceded by a year of negotiations
Construction Machinery Georgia, a subsidiary of Tegeta Holding, has delivered four LIEBHERR mining excavators and fully hydrostatically driven dozers to Davax LLC, a leading Armenian development company.
The unprecedented agreement for both parties was preceded by a year of negotiations. Due to various factors, the Armenian company, which has been operating in the real estate business for over 10 years and is distinguished by its high reliability, had to invent a new working approach. Due to the difficult terrain conditions at the site, it became necessary to change the method of quarrying.
The Construction Machinery Georgia team perfectly completed the most difficult technical task of Davax LLC and presented the company with a unique model from its European partner, the PR776. This is the largest dozer in the LIEBHERR production line, with an operating weight of 75 tons and a 22-cubic meter front blade volume.

Armenian development company Davax LLC owns a mining and quarrying plant, where inert and construction materials are extracted and processed through open-pit methods. The standard practice for quarrying involves blasting after surveying the terrain and geology. While processing the mass obtained from blasting is a much more convenient and straightforward procedure, the quarry’s location on the outskirts of Yerevan posed additional challenges in terms of safety and environmental care. Due to newly adopted regulations, the quarrying process had to be adjusted. The LIEBHERR PR776 dozer, the largest model in the LIEBHERR production line, provided the solution to Davax LLC’s most challenging technical task. It is capable of loosening the top layer of minerals with a single-toothed pulverizer and transporting the resulting mass across the site, despite its size and power.
