New Liebherr Crawler Dozer Model at Bauma 2025
Flagship mining dozer - PR 776 Crawler Dozer
- The Liebherr PR 776 Generation 8 (G8) Crawler Dozer with hydrostatic drive sets new standards in efficiency
- Equipped with Liebherr Connect and Liebherr Remote Control (LiReCon), the 70-ton PR 776 G8 can be operated remotely. This enhances safety, improves efficiency, and ensures greater operating comfort
At Bauma 2025, Liebherr will unveil its flagship mining dozer, the eighth-generation PR 776 Crawler Dozer, fully equipped to meet the demanding requirements of mining and quarrying operations. Alongside the new PR 766 G8 and the smaller PR 756 G8, launched in early 2021, Liebherr continues to expand its comprehensive range of modern mining dozers.
With an average fuel consumption of just 38 l/h, Liebherr is setting new standards for economical material handling in the mining sector. The assistance systems available for the new equipment further enhance efficiency and convenience on the job site.
Liebherr OAS – Operator Assistance Systems
The new 70-ton PR 776 Generation 8 is equipped with advanced Operator Assistance Systems (OAS), previously available only on smaller models. These systems offer two levels of driver support: Free Grade for active blade stabilization during fine grading, and Definition Grade for automatic blade positioning to create precise 2D graded surfaces. The new Auto Blade Pitch Assistance System allows the operator to save and recall three blade positions at the touch of a button: Position 1 provides optimal penetration characteristics; Position 2 enhances material transport efficiency; Position 3 enables rapid blade emptying at the end of the dozer push section. The PR 776 G8’s advanced operator assistance systems boost efficiency, operating comfort and also significantly improve overall productivity.

Easy maintenance
The main features of the Liebherr PR 776 include optimal service access and extended maintenance intervals. Centralized maintenance points, wide-opening hatches, a tiltable driver’s cab, and an optional cooling system contribute to faster maintenance and easier servicing of the new crawler dozer. The eighth-generation dozer is also renowned for its exceptionally long hydraulic fluid and engine oil change intervals. When using Liebherr Plus oils, these intervals can be extended up to 8,000 operating hours with regular inspections, maximizing uptime and reducing maintenance costs.
Maximum driver comfort - as standard
Liebherr mining dozers feature a high-class, comfortable cab designed for ease of operation and maximum operator comfort. The cab is equipped with ROPS/FOPS systems for enhanced protection, while panoramic windows provide 360-degree visibility of the blade and ripper, significantly increasing safety.
Future-proof with the Liebherr LiReCon teleoperation system
In demanding working environments where both people and equipment face increased challenges, the Liebherr Remote Control System (LiReCon) enhances safety, comfort, and productivity. Designed for all crawler dozer applications, the system features a modern operator station equipped with all necessary switching elements, on-board cameras, microphones for recording machine noise, and radio receivers and transmitters.
LiReCon enables quick handovers between operators, reducing waiting times and minimizing downtime. By removing the need for direct operator control, the system allows operations to expand into hazardous areas, significantly increasing the crawler dozer’s operational capabilities.
